No, not all rooms are air-conditioned due to the Sustainability Commitment. Leticia has an inefficient electric plan driven by diesel which makes a substantial negative impact; therefore, we try to save energy as it is possible. And also because the whole infrastructure of the hotel, with its high ceilings and spaces for air circulation, it maintains a warm and refreshing temperature.

However, there are rooms with fans and some with air conditioning so you can choose the best option for your stay. Just ask for it!

Amazon B&B has been pleased to accommodate guests with mobility restrictions. Its design of the different spaces and rooms and showers with supports, allows them to feel comfortable, safe and with easy displacement. We are very proud to provide a cosy place for people with disabilities and also to encourage them to challenge so positively physical limitations in the Amazon. A destination to go beyond the limits.

In the generality of the Amazon, there are deficiencies in the water sanitation system, so it is advisable to mention the care that should take in this direction. Amazon B&B uses water that complies with the health standards required by the regional authorities for the main operations, cleaning, and bathrooms. However, for human consumption and food preparation, we use exclusively purified water from the dispenser. Additionally, to further reinforce the water purification system, a new filter will be installed, which has a four-stage sanitising process that increases water quality.

For our guests, we offer the option to buy a bottle of water that, for the environmental care it is advisable to maintain during the whole stay. But with the possibility of filling it with water from the dispenser as many times as it is necessary without additional cost.

There is no pool, but we do have a jacuzzi where you can relax and enjoy while tasting an exquisite juice of exotic fruits and remember the best moments of your excursion of the day. Possibly because of the heat and humidity of the environment you can consider a swimming pool as necessary; however, the Amazon is not a destination for beaches and swimming pools, it is more related to ecotourism and adventure tourism. You will realise that it is essential to be in contact with nature. On the other hand, in the rainy season, it is better to avoid the swimming pools because of the danger of lightning.

Enjoy a gratifying break in the jacuzzi

Yes, you will have free wi-fi, the hotel also has a social area with a computer for our guests. But the Internet connection is slow in all of Leticia compared to the big urban centres. The special satellite connection is only for the airport and the military facilities of the region.

Many times we are asked if they will find mosquitoes and other bugs. The immediate answer is of course! Don’t forget that we are in a jungle area with an incredible diversity of species. But we try to provide you with the greatest comfort and protection possible in attempting to avoid deterioration for the ecosystem because everything has its reason to be in this environment. However, Amazon B&B is in the urban area; therefore there are fewer mosquitoes. The hotel rooms have protective nets. In the garden, we use organic spraying with a mixture of onion and garlic that helps control mosquitoes, and with the aromatic herbs crops. But the best allied to maintain the balance are frogs. So you shouldn’t be surprised if you see one or two at the front desk, the hallways or the hotel garden, especially in the evening. Nature maintains wise self-regulation!
